CAROL POORE
Carol Poore, Ph.D., MBA, is a native Phoenician whose family heritage in ownership and sales of residential and commercial property runs deep.
Carol brings more than 25 years of corporate, community and entrepreneurial background to provide competent and diligent client service as a proud member of Brokers Hub Realty.
Carol’s deep expertise and personal investment in her city allows her to provide exceptional insight and a keen focus on homes and neighborhoods in Greater Downtown Phoenix and the North Central Phoenix Corridor areas, helping clients buy or sell luxury homes, high-rise condos, first-time residences, second-homes, and investment properties.
An expert in Phoenix downtown revitalization and vibrancy, Carol’s background includes economic and community development success as a nonprofit CEO, vice provost at Arizona State University, and former Salt River Project executive.
Carol’s development achievements include implementing ASU’s master plan at the West Campus, as well as raising $23 million and leading the successful development of an innovative, 55,000 square-foot community health and research center in Downtown Phoenix. For fun in 2013, Carol incubated and owns the Phoenix Phabulous History Murals, a 16-piece indoor mural series created by Phoenix artists. The murals tell the story of Phoenix and have travelled to more than 20 grand civic spaces while being activated by storytellers.
As president of Poore & Associates and a published author, Carol has helped a variety of organizations build growth strategies and capacity with strategic planning and fundraising, organizational turnaround, venture capital development, and urban placemaking. Clients have included Arizona Medical Society, National Endowment for the Arts, University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, Arizona State University, Maricopa County Medical Society, BioAccel, Arizona Technology Council Foundation, Arizona Community College Association, and Arizona School for the Arts.
Carol received her Ph.D. in Public Administration, her MBA, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Broadcasting from Arizona State University. Since 2011, she has served as a faculty associate at Arizona State University’s Downtown Campus, teaching community development, public administration leadership, and public policy courses.
She’s a proud mom of two sons and can be found at the gym on most days, after serving clients and her community!
